Become an Intern

If you have an interest in literature, experience with office work, and a desire to learn more about a non-profit literary association, then an internship with the ALSCW could be a great experience for you.

The position requires four hours of volunteer work per week. Intern responsibilities will include updating the membership database; processing membership, donation, and conference registration forms; posting news items to our blog and Facebook page; and communicating with our members about events. Special projects may include work for our 2011 Annual Conference in Boston (download program here) as well as writing, copy-editing, and/or design work for our quarterly newsletter Literary Matters (download the most recent issue here). If you have experience in web design - specifically with Dreamweaver - or in finance - specifically with QuickBooks - please let us know.

Applications are now available. Please submit the application, short answers for Part B, and your resume for Part D as PDF attachments to
