Plan Your Visit - Conference 2013
Travel to the Conference
Athens, GA is served by three airports: a small one in the town itself, Hartsfield in Atlanta, and Greenville/Spartanburg in South Carolina. The Athens airport is home to SeaPort airlines, which flies to and from Nashville, TN; this airport is a short taxi ride from the hotel. Hartsfield (ATL) and Greenville/Spartanburg (GSP) are served by the major airlines. Both of these airports are roughly an hour and three quarters from Athens, rental cars ar available at both, and there is a regular shuttle service to and from Hartsfield. It is worth checking both airports, since the available airlines differ slightly and GSP sometimes offers better deals (through, e.g., Southwest). Also, since GSP is east of Athens and Atlanta, commuter and city traffic can be less of a problem.
