Highlights

Highlights for the 2017 ALSCW Annual Conference included:
On the evening of October 26^th, Kwame Dawes, Chancellor’s Professor of English at The University of Nebraska, read his poetry. On the evening of the 27^th, Peter McDonald, Christopher Tower Student of Poetry, Oxford University, and Sir Andrew Motion, Homewood Professor of the Arts at The Johns Hopkins University and former Poet Laureate of Britain, read their poetry. And on the 28^th, Christopher Ricks, William M. and Sara B. Warren Professor of the Humanities, Editorial Institute, Boston University spoke on Bob Dylan and the Nobel Prize.

Conference Hotel Information

Hotels in the Dallas area tend to be expensive but we have negotiated an excellent rate–$123 per night (plus tax)–at the Dallas Marriott Las Colinas Inn. The DART rail station is a short walk from the hotel and one stop from the University of Dallas.
