Ways To Give
Today the work of the ALSCW is more important than ever, but memberships and grants can pay only for part of it. Like all independent nonprofits, the ALSCW depends on annual support from its members to maintain and advance our programs. Your gifts allow us to continue to promote excellence in literary scholarship, criticism, and writing. Please consider making the largest contribution you comfortably can. Three-year pledges make significant contributions surprisingly affordable. For example, a $1,000 gift costs only $28 per month if made as a three-year pledge; a $100 gift would be only $3 a month if made as a three-year pledge. This option makes it easier to give a more substantial gift than you may have thought possible by structuring a three-year pledge. The ALSCW Staff can help you make a gift that suits your needs and interests.
Exquisitely designed by Zachary Sifuentes of Bow & Arrow Press in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a vintage letterpress studio, each broadside is a very limited edition (with only twenty printed), and an extraordinary work of art. Works by Adam Zagajewski (in bilingual format, translated by Clare Cavanagh), Jane Hirshfield, and David Ferry are available as an expression of our gratitude for gifts of $500 or more to the Association.

Circle of Friends
To help secure our future, we invite you to join our Circle of Friends—an advisory and fundraising body whose goal is to support our programs, initiatives, and operations. Your participation would make a significant difference not only in the fortunes of the Association, but also in the fortunes of literary education, the cultivation of an audience for serious writing, scholarship and criticism, and of life of the mind in writing, conversation, scholarship, and teaching. Members of the Circle of Friends pledge to give or raise $1000 a year for three years to the Association to help support our mission.
Less than half of our Annual Conference expenses are covered by registration fees; among the most important expenses not covered by registration are intern travel and lodging. Please consider donating to our intern Conference fund to make sure that we are able to bring interns to our annual conference. Each year interns work extremely hard helping to organize this event, and it is important to the ALSCW that a few of them are able to see the result of their months of effort and planning. A donation of any amount helps secure our interns a place at our conference. Read an intern testimonial to get a better idea of how your donation can help our organization.
